Why can’t the government break up the big finance companies?
In the middle 70s the government took on “Ma Bell†which resulted in the telephone giant being split into several smaller companies. This has created competition and led to a broader base of technological initiatives we all benefit from today. Way can’t the government do the same ting to the big finance companies? It has been said that these companies are so big they can not be properly controlled by the government or their own management. Tax payers are paying for their bad habits and mismanagement. Should the tax payer demand that the government break them up as they did with Ma Bell?

Yes, I agree that they should, the ones that have failed anyway and are effectively in government receivership. Why should a company be "too big to fail"? They've hurt the country, the world, their shareholders, all of us, so they can pay themselves huge salaries and bonuses. I say make them "too small to matter," and then if they bankrupt their companies through speculation they'll have to kiss their asses goodbye.

No one is to big to fail, for everyone that does fail there are 3 or 4 to take the place. That is called choice and competition.

i doesnt appear that we are gonna be demanding anything from those in power., we are just biometrically scanned free range organ donors as far as i can tell. Raytheon is developing lots of new " crowd control munnitions" like the active denial system that puts a heat ray on you and boils your skin.. sound cannons .. piezoelectric pellets in a 12 ga shell- like electric buckshot .. the 3 army 1st battalion -20,000 strong are back from iraq to support law enfocement if theres any problem..lots of room in the fema camps for those who wont follow the new world orders.. Basically for an MBA, you need to go to a top 10 schools or it is a waste of money. For helathcare management, you don't need an MBA. many of my friends got MHA( Master of Healthcare Administration), and is doing healthcare mangement at majore hospitals. If you haven't worked before, MHA is easier to get into than MBA. University of Michigan has the #1 program for Healthcare Management and Policy program and will prepareyou well for what you like to do. Plus, if you want, you can apply to the MBA program there as well for just one more year of school. However, that is going to cost you more money.

Have you checked the healthcare MBA offered by Independence University? The program is devised to prepare you for a career in healthcare administration and management. This school is accredited by the DETC. Independence University also offers financial assistance with different student loans, scholarships, and grants. This may be the program you are looking for. You may check their website for more details.

If you want an MBA, get a job and work for 2-4 years after you graduate. Most MBA programs prefer students with 2-3 years work experience after the first degree. Some accept students right out of college if they have good grades and a high GMAT score. Some MBA programs are designed specifically for new college graduates without work experience. But in those programs you don't get the benefit of learning from other students who have work experience. A lot of valuable learning takes place through class interaction. Before you decide on an MBA program explore the Internet for information on available programs. There is a lot of information available in free public service sites. Some sites are limited to specific countries, such as Germany, UK, or Australia. Some list a small number of select schools, while others may include more than 2,000 MBA programs listed worldwide. You can find the program that best fits you. You can search for programs by location (US, Europe, Far East, etc.), by concentration (finance, marketing, aviation management, health management, accounting, etc.), by type of program (full-time, distance learning, part-time, executive, and accelerated), and by type of degree (MBA, MS, Ph.D). In some cases you can select your own criteria and preferences to get a list of universities that satisfy your needs. You can find data on entrance requirements, program costs, program characteristics, joint degrees such as MBA/JD, and much more. Some sites have links to the schools' web sites, or provide email addresses to contact schools of your choice, and send them pre-applications. You can find lists of top schools ranked by various periodicals or ranked by starting salaries of graduates, GMAT scores, and other criteria. Generally you should stay away from any sites that require you to pay to get information or that promise to find scholarships for you or ensure acceptance into a program. Before you provide any personal information to a site, be sure to read their privacy policy and make sure they are not harvesting email addresses for sale.

My ex-boyfriend applied for a pistol permit in Dudley, MA. His criminal record "disappeared"
My ex-boyfriend applied for a pistol permit in Dudley, MA. His criminal record "disappeared".?
There is no record of expungement for a domestic violence arrest. The record "magically" disappeared while he applied for a pistol permit for "hunting". Who has oversight over the management of the police records? I tried asking the state government but they won't even acknowledge with a reply. Even an expungement leaves a trail normally. As it stands now it's as if the record never existed.

An expungement is exactly that. A court ordered expungement is gone forever and a paper trail is very limited. His record is clear as far as the pistol permit is concerned. The court that ordered the expungement has the oversight over it, not police records. Good luck.............

was the case thrown out of court ? money to to right people can do amazing things. what about the original police report? check out these things along with how old he was when he was arraigned , unless he already has lots of hunting experience most hunters use shotguns and rifles or bows to go hunting unless hes hunting a 2 legged human being.a call to the f.b.i. or homeland security I'm sure would stir up some answers-- there is a paper trail somewhere.

arrests can be expunged as long as there is no finding of guilt, an expungement by it's very nature is a removal of all records of the incident so there is nothing magical about it recording an expungement would be self defeating as the idea is to remove all records of an arrest in which there was no conviction since one is innocent until proven guilty. If you are being harassed by this individual report it to your local police, otherwise seek closure and move on!

If there was no conviction, then all there would be anyway would be an arrest record, which is not a disqualifier for a permit. An expungement is exactly that. Inquiries into an expunged case yield the same results as if nothing ever occurred.

Northwestern, Harvard, and MIT are obviously top academically ranked schools. Purdue is alright, but definitely out of place in the list.

Little known to the public, MIT has amazing sports and law programs. I believe our football and curling teams were ranked in the top 5 of NCAA D-1 sports, in addition to our various other D-3 sports winning numerous titles.
