I am looking into the possibility of joining the Air Guard or Air Force reserve (I am non prior service). I just turned 34 and have a BA(management) and MA(criminal justice). The USAF requires a person be commissioned by age 35. I realize the process to gain entrance to OTS, attend the school and commission could take a year or more. (1) What is the chance I could receive an age waiver for OTS if I do not move through the process in time to graduate before I am 35? (2) I see some fields, such as Medical Service Corps, have a higher age limit. Do I qualify for entrance under AFSC 41AX (Health Services Administrator)? (3) Is there a separate recruiting command/process for Medical Service Corps officer candidates?

1) talk to a recruiter 2) talk to a recruiter 3) talk to a recruiter Anyone on here is just guessing and the clock on your age is ticking.

Actually the AF requires you to be under 30 to be commissioned. They will waiver it up to age 35, for those with prior enlisted service. Your best bet, would be the Air National Guard The States will waiver age limits, more than the Reserves will.
